Netflix Original Series Premiere ~ Dragons: Race to the Edge

I bet your kids loved the How to Train Your Dragon movies, didn't they? I know mine did to the tune of having every. single. dragon toy. Well good news Dragon fans, Netflix is bringing it back with an original new show, Dragons: Race to the Edge, now showing! So, if you still have all those Dragon toys around the house, it's time to get out Toothless and Hiccup because your kids will be asking for them.

Dragons: Race to the Edge picks up several years later and the original cast is back and dare I say better than ever. In this new series the Dragon Riders discover a mysterious ancient artifact filled with secrets that lead them on adventures to new lands and new dragons. For example, we get to meet Snow Wraith in the 2nd episode, a vicious dragon on Glacier Island. 

My boys and I were excited to view an advance screening of this new show. My oldest said he loved that the show was so much like the movie, and my youngest said he loved watching "the big guy fly on the little dragon" (aka Fishlegs and Meatlug) Lots of humor, lots of action, and lots of fun. I love shows that I can enjoy watching along side my kiddos. 

In true Netflix fashion, Dragons: Race to the Edge is going to be a show you want to binge watch. Each episode leaves you at a cliffhanger so you can't help but want to start the next one to see what's going to happen. So yes, that means you'll want to start at the first episode for sure! And I have to admit I was actually worse than my kids in saying "let's just watch one more, ok?" 

So, login to Netflix, fix a bowl of popcorn, and a enjoy some Dragon adventures with the kids. Great way to spend a summer afternoon beating the heat!
