I don't know about your family but we love to travel. While I wish every trip could be a week long vacation, sometimes short, nearby trips are just what the doctor ordered. And that's exactly what we needed this past weekend for Father's Day. In fact, as I type this I'm sitting in a hotel, the DreamMore Resort in Pigeon Forge, TN and my boys are trying to decide if they want to hit the pool or Dollywood first today. Tough decisions when you are 11 and 9. I'm pulling for the pool....
I do plan on sharing more about this resort because it is quite impressive. While I know comparing to Disney World is a stretch because Disney is, well, Disney, I have to say my thoughts keep going to Disney with the cleanliness, family-friendliness and how nice the entire staff is. Even my kids commented on how nice everyone here is! It very much has a Disney-vibe to it, but instead of being all the way down in Florida, we're right here, just a few hours south, nestled in the mountains of Pigeon Forge, TN with Dollywood minutes, and a free shuttle from the hotel, away.
