National Geographic Outdoor Explorer Toys

REVIEW

By Jamie Clark, Publisher MK Roanoke August 7, 2012
This week my kids got to do a little outdoor exploring at night!  Something they LOVE because it means they get to stay up a little later than usual.  My kids also love to go camping, so these toys would be the perfect thing to take along on your next family camping trip, too!

First up for fun was the Sky Flare.  This is a light-up sky signal that shoots high into the sky.  Not only did my kids just have fun playing with it, but it has a purpose, too!  Kids can use it to let others know where they are outside.  My kids also had fun launching it to see where it landed in the yard and trying to get it into designated targets (aka hoola hoops).

Next up was the Sierra Eco Explorer Multi-use Tool.  Because of the headlamp feature, this was fun playing with at night when all sorts of little critters are out and about.  My kids also love catching lightening bugs, so this was the perfect, temporary, home for them.

One last toy perfect for exploring the outdoors in the dark are the Expedition Shoe Lights.  Although we didn't get to play with these, I think they would be perfect for our next camping trip!    http://unclemilton.com/nat_geo/expedition-shoe-lights/

Uncle Milton is a proud supporter of Macaroni Kid and provided me with the toys for review purposes.
