KJPAS Camps are the best of both worlds: Acting and Musical Theater training with the perfect mix of residential or day camp options held at the beautiful, and ACA-accredited, Camp Bethel in Fincastle, VA.
This is the 16th year of providing professional level acting and musical theater camps for the kids of the Roanoke Valley and beyond. We are committed to training actors, singers and dancers and helping them to get cast in area productions. In fact, if you look at the cast list of any of the shows from Mill Mountain Theater to Roanoke Children's Theater to Showtimers or any area high school, not only did a majority of the cast come from our camps and my studio program, but almost all of the principal (leading) roles came out of our training as well!
Our camps are what I like to call "The Real Deal". We present real scenes and musical numbers from real Broadway and West End plays and musicals. We help kids from our camps get cast in real theatrical productions and real television commercials, print ads, and films. Take a look at the alumni testimonials on our website. Our success rate speaks for itself. We are still the only theater camp in the country to offer professional headshots and resumes as part of the camp tuition. Each year at least 15 of our campers are cast in paid television commercials and print advertisements because of my submitting their head shots to area casting directors. And we are re-defining theater camps across the country with our NEW Technical Theater camp where each camper will receive a full week of hands-on training in every aspect of the theater.
We are the perfect mix of "camp" and "theater". Our campers take valuable acting workshops and rehearse for the big performance, and they also get to swim every day, and participate in outdoor hikes, wagon rides, zip lines, high ropes courses and campfires. Our campers stay in comfortable air conditioned cabins and enjoy sixteen delicious meals and all snacks while at camp. We are truly the only camp in Virginia that offers such an experience.

2014 Showcase performances will feature songs from shows that debuted on London’s West End (including Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Cats and more!) and scenes from the Broadway hit play, Peter and the Starcatcher
