Summer Camp Spotlight: Summer Art Camps with Dan & Rachel Kuehl

April 22, 2014

Again this summer, artists and certified teachers Dan and Rachelle Kuehl are offering an exciting opportunity for children in the Roanoke area! In week-long art camps, students will learn artistic techniques through creative projects.

Lessons will reach beyond typical craft classes and will be tailored to the specific ages and abilities of the students. Children will enjoy exploring different artistic media (drawing, painting, sculpture and more!) and will create artwork of which they will be proud.

This summer, the camps will be primarily taught by Mr. Kuehl, who holds a Masters degree in art education and was named Roanoke City’s 2013 Teacher of the Year!

The cost for the 4-day camp is $110, with an early bird discount of $100 for those who register before May 10, 2014. Students ages 6 and up (teens welcome, too) can sign up for one of the following options:

  • Session 1: June 23-26, 9 a.m. to noon
  • Session 2: June 23-26, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Session 3: June 30-July 3, 9 a.m. to noon
  • Session 4: June 30-July 3, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Session 5: July 7-10, 9 a.m. to noon
  • Session 6: July 7-10, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

New this year! If you have a 4-6 year old that would be interested in a shorter, two-day camp, please email for more details!
