Back to School Review ~ Mad Pax

By Beth Bell, Macaroni Kid Roanoke Assistant Publisher August 19, 2014
I wasn’t sure how my 9 year old son would feel about the “Lator Gator” backpack.  Which looks just like an alligator with reptile skin and lots of fun spikes all over- 28 to be exact! I thought he may be a little too old for it, but when I asked him to go look in the box and check out this funky back pack, he was so excited to learn it was his to keep!

The quality of the pack is very nice, with thick padding on the straps, and buckles across the chest and waist for extra support.  There is an inner sleeve that would be suitable for a thin laptop or tablet, or in our case- so I can easily find my son’s planner and take home folder. The pack also features 2 side pockets on the outside and an interior zip pocket.  Thanks to the unique, bulbous, shape of the pack, there is also plenty of room for your child’s lunch box or when they shed their jackets for the day.  The Mad Pax website also offers matching pencil cases and packs in 3 different sizes.

I think Mad Pax packs are designed in a way that would appeal to to pack users of all ages. Even adults and college students who want to stand out or add some flair to their day.

The local newspaper published an article Sunday about how school fashion and supplies was focused on fun and personality this year- not just functionality.  Mad Pax definitely meets all 3!

Mad Pax can be ordered online at MadPax.com or you can find yours locally at Target.   The first time you visit the website, you’ll be offered a 10% off coupon for creating an account.  You can also follow them on Facebook for additional promotional offers.
