Note from the Publisher ~ Viva Las Vegas!

I am writing to you all from 35,003 feet at a speed of 544 MPH currently over New Mexico somewhere as I fly home from a few amazing days in Las Vegas with 100+ other Macaroni Kid Publishers from all over the country. This past week was our annual Meet Up where I get to spend a few days listening to amazing key note speakers, participating in incredible training, and having a little {ok, a lot} of fun. My head is spinning with ways to make Roanoke Macaroni Kid even better for you all, plus a few surprises that you'll just have to wait for! 



We stayed at the JW Marriott and it was nothing short of spectacular. Here's a little glimpse of the pool {just to make you a little jealous}



I did Vegas about 11 years ago with my husband and another couple and we did the whole gambling, late nights, crazy time back then. So this time it was more about a little "me" time and spending time with some of the most fabulous women who I'm so glad to call my friends. I pretty sure I'm the only one who didn't play a single slot machine but I did catch two amazing shows, Blue Man Group {who is coming to Roanoke and if you can go it's awesome} and Beatles Love Cirque du Soleil show. Highly recommended if you're ever in Vegas!

So now I'm just super anxious to get home to my boys because while being away is something I think all moms need to do from time to time, I miss them terribly and can't wait to hug them tight.
