DIY Thanksgiving Craft ~ Toilet Paper Roll Turkeys and More!

Thanksgiving is about here and it's always a good idea to have a few activities for the kiddos ready to go. Afterall, waiting to eat and watching football doesn't always appeal little ones, right? 

Here are a few ideas using some materials you likely have around the house that are fun for the kids and a perfect Thanksgiving craft.

Basic Items Needed: 
Toilet Paper Rolls (empty)
construction paper (orange, yellow, brown, red, black)
felt
scissors
crayons
glue


Easy Turkeys

1. To make the feathers take a piece of paper, divide into 3rds coloring one section red, one orange, and one brown.

2. Fold like a fan and staple middle together.
3. Cut the toilet paper roll in half.

Thankful Turkey

1. Cut feathers out of construction paper and have kids write what they are thankful for on each feather. 

2. Glue the feathers to a toilet paper roll and use a marker or crayone to draw turkey eyes. You can also either draw the beak or cut out of construction paper.

Pilgrims & Native Americans

These cute fellows can printed, colored, cut out, and then taped/glued onto the toilet paper roll. Quick and easy for the kids to make fun Thanksgiving scene! Click here for the printables. 


Native Americans

These are made with a little construction paper and tape. Cut out shapes to fit around your toilet paper roll for the clothes and head dresses. Use a marker to add a face and jewelery. Simply cut the toilet paper rolls down to size to create children!
