Mom's Night Out ~ Paint Nite Roanoke

By Beth Bell, Macaroni Kid Roanoke Assistant Publisher December 16, 2014
I recently had the fortune to attend Paint Nite Roanoke, not once, but twice!  I have wanted to try a “Paint and Sip” event for a while but it hadn’t worked out with my schedule.  Paint Nite makes it easy to find something that will work, with 2-3 nights available every week!  Paint Nite is held in rotating area restaurants, such as 419 West, Awful Arthurs, Hotel Roanoke, Shiska, and The City Market Building.

Local artists and a Paint Nite host lead you through the sessions. Paint Nite is very easy- you check in, order a drink and/or food, and settle in for step by step instruction on creating your masterpiece!  The hostess of the night explains 3 rules for painting. I won’t ruin your experience by telling you all 3- but the first and most important is “Have Fun!” and I promise, you will!

It is so much fun to experience the camaraderie and everyone’s joy when they finish their painting and
are surprised at how easy it was!

Here are the things I love about Paint Nite, other than the totally fun, stress free, night out!

1- They send you a reminder of your reservation by email! My scattered Mommy brain really appreciates this!  It’s very detailed on what to bring and what to wear. Nothing complicated- but everything you need to know!

2- A  Discount! Always use the promo code, ROANOKE25, to pay half price for your night out!

3- A follow up email that gives you a link to fun pictures taken throughout the night, including you with your masterpiece. You don’t have to worry about a selfie- your fun Paint nite hostess will take care of that for you!

Paint Nite Roanoke is definitely a baby-sitter worthy event.  It would be great for a girls night out, date night, or team building.  I had a blast with my friends the first night, and my Origami Owl team, the 2nd night.  A bonus was how impressed my kids are with my painting abilities!
