Note from the Publisher ~ The Sisterhood of Motherhood

By Jamie Clark, MK Roanoke Publisher January 27, 2015
This came across my Facebook feed last week and I loved it so much I wanted to share it with all of you. Yes, we are all on the same side. We are all parents trying to do the best for your kids every. single. day.

Raising children sure ain't easy or pretty. Most days it's messy and exhausting. My kids are older now, but I remember the constant fear I was doing something wrong when they were babies or, even worse, the fear that other moms would judge me because my baby spit up for the 10th time during toddler storytime and I was on the verge of tears because I had no more clean clothes or burp clothes to try and salvage the mess....and then an angel-mom would hand me wipes and a clean burp cloth and smile, knowingingly.

I'm so thankful for the circle of mom friends I had during this time period when my boys were babies and toddlers. We all needed each other in so many ways, and while we don't see each much anymore because our kids are older and attend different schools, etc, they will forever hold a special place in my heart. Because it was these moms that brought me into the "sisterhood" and I couldn't have survived without them.
