This art camp explores using multiple materials for creation. Participants of this camp will use various art materials such as paint, plaster, clay and other mediums to create. Campers will learn artistic techniques that are unique to each medium as well as learn how artists use different mediums to help them accomplish their artistic goals.

Abstract Art Camp

Let’s get inspired by our new summer exhibition It’s a Party!, featuring abstract art from the Museum’s Permanent Collection. Participants will explore various ways to create including collage, printmaking, painting with marbles and other materials! Design, line, shape, pattern, and color are the groundwork for this camp.

Clay Creations Camp

Let your children’s imagination soar with the power of clay! Camp participants will explore hand building techniques using air dry clay and other moldable materials for their creations. We will also practice basic wheel techniques.

All About Animals Camp

Let your child’s love for animals inspire their art! Using animals as our subject matter, camp participants will enjoy crafting lots of little projects featuring some of their favorites. Children are encouraged to bring a stuffy buddy from home on this fun artistic journey.

Teen Camp: Character Design and Concept Art
JULY 13-17, 2026
Ages 12-15 | 1:30-5:30 PM
Concept art is the art of creating characters for video games, film, and comic books. Members of this art camp will be looking at various ways to build characters. We will study proportion and look at ways we can use exaggeration to create different types of characters and characters in action. We will also look at facial proportions and learn how to exaggerate in the same manner to create different kinds of characters.

Teen Camp: Fundamental Art
JULY 20-24, 2026
Ages 12-15 | 1:30-5:30pm
This camp will focus on the foundation for art as teens learn the basics in fundamental art techniques! Explore the color wheel, shading basics, positive and negative space, and more! Whether your teen is an art beginner, or has some skills under their belt, there’s something for everyone in this fun exploratory art camp for teens!
