There are many reasons why you may be looking for a place to eat out on Thanksgiving Day in Roanoke, Virginia. House too small to entertain. You're not a cook. Family lives out of town. Around here, you don't need an excuse not to cook and clean! I used to think it would be awful not to cook and entertain. I really love creating new dishes in the kitchen and watching others enjoy them. However, a few years ago, I was invited to Thanksgiving at the Inn at Virginia Tech with a friend and can now see why some families choose this option. Not only was it completely stress free, but not having to cook, clean and entertain, left a lot of time to just relax, catch up and enjoy each other's company. In addition, there wasn't any lingering. So if you aren't really a people person, you'll have an out.
