DIY No-Sew Cape
Materials:
Fabric of your choice (27x30inch rectangle)
scissors and pinking sheers (to help the edges from fraying)
ruler
36 inches of ribbon (5/8inch wide)
Fabric glue
velcro
Directions:
- Cut 27x30inch rectangle from fabric with pinking sheers
- Lay 36 inches of ribbon about 1 1/2 inches from edge along the short side of rectangle
- Put a line of fabric glue below the ribbon
- Fold over to seal making sure that the glue does not touch the ribbon so the ribbon is free to move
- Wait about 10 min for glue to dry
- Bunch together to make the top of the cape and cut ribbon so there is a few inches on each end
- Add velcro tabs for closure
*Feel free to embellish the back of the cape as you wish!
DIY Angel Wings
Materials:
scissors
pencil
white posterboard
shoe laces or ribbon
glue
coffee filters
pipe cleaners for halo
Directions:
- cut out the shape of angel wings from posterboard
- Determine placement on child and punch holes so they can be attached to their shoulders & put string through holes
- Fold coffee filters in half and glue to form the feathers on the angel wings
- form a halo out of the pipe cleaners
