What girl doesn’t love a little arm candy? How about a lot of arm candy? Like stacks and stacks of uber-cute bangles? And, what if I told you these bangles are designed to inspire you and give off positive energy? And, proceeds from some of these bangles even go to support causes that are important to you? Interested? Well, then, it’s time for you to meet Alex and Ani.
To give you a little background about Alex and Ani, they are at the very basic level a jewelry company. Selling bangles, necklaces, earrings, and rings. All their products are made in the U.S.A. and all of the products are infused with positive energy. What exactly does that mean? Their products rock and make you feel empowered by wearing them.
While there are a multitude of charms to choose, from sports teams to occasions like Mother’s Day or a new baby to even zodiac symbols, my personal favorite charms are the ones from Charity By Design. When you purchase a Charity By Design item, a portion of the proceeds go to the specific charity represented on the symbolic charm. At first glance I thought choosing a bangle would be difficult because there are so many choices, but choosing to shop by charity made my decision much easier. My mother is a breast cancer survivor so I chose the Arms of Strength bangle to support Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The charm is a starfish to represent hope and resilience and it has a pink stone center to represent nurturing love. Wearing this bangle gives me the energy to be brave and optimistic, like my mother had to be during her battle with breast cancer.
Of course, one bangle was just not enough for me! I also loved the Pelican charm bangle. Pelicans have long been one of my favorite birds and I love watching them soar over the water when at the beach every summer. Reminds me of a peaceful time in my absolute favorite place. Proceeds support International Bird Rescue and the Pelican symbolizes peace, tranquility, and solitude. Wearing this bangle helps remind me that peace and tranquility are always within reach.
