Turn Your Clutter Into Cash at the LFA Consignment Sale

January 31, 2017

LFA Kids Consignment Sale, Roanoke’s BEST and LARGEST consignment event is just around the corner.

Being a consignor is not only a great way to move out items your kids have outgrown or don't need anymore, it is also a great way to earn extra cash. I've been a consignor with LFA Kids many times and I can honestly it's easy and well worth it!

LFA KIDS pays out more to their consignors. Earn 60% of the sold price, less a $10.00 registration fee deducted from your check unless you choose to donate all your unsold items and prepare your items accordingly OR Join the LFA TEAM and work a minimum of 8 hours. There is also a Full-Service option taken by appointment only where consignors earn 40% of the sold price.

The Spring LFA Sale is March 24-26th but now is the time to get started. Sift through your gently used children’s items, maternity items, infant care, household items, and ladies clothing and start making piles to donate, to toss and to consign! The website is full of helpful tips, instructions and offers even a step-by-step video.

Why consign at LFA over having a yard sale or some other method?
1. You can sell pieces in smaller quantity and you will make more in the long run.
2. You don’t have to meet people you don't know in the Walmart parking lot or have them at your house.
3. You get to shop all of the other great items before we open to the public so you can stock up on great items for your own kids.
4. You earn more with LFA than other area consignment options.
5. You can earn even more by joining Team LFA.
6. You can declutter and clean out closets twice year, each spring and fall.

LFA wants to help you make the most money possible. Here are some tips:

1. Sort, sort, sort – only prepare your best items. When in doubt, donate.
2. Keep current – only tag recent items, leave the mom jeans at home or donate them.
3. Don’t forget it's more than clothes – we take furniture, recent home décor, childrens books, shoes, toys, outdoor gear and more.
4. Bring your best – check again for stains, missing buttons ,etc. presentation and cleanliness counts
5. Include instruction manuals on larger items and always put dollar store batteries in electronic items – shoppers will buy things they know work.
6. Donate unsold items and save the $10 consignor fee.

They also have a great video on preparing your items.
