DIY Baseball Bulletin Board

By Jamie Clark, Baseball Mom Extraordinaire June 13, 2017

You know if I'm sharing a craft (or recipe) with you all that I made myself it falls into several categories: it's easy, inexpensive, uses simple materials and can be done without much mess. Also if you know me you know I'm a baseball mom so when I saw this adorable (my word, not my son's) bulletin board idea I knew it would perfect for my son's room.

MATERIALS:

  1. Bulletin Board
  2. Fake grass (astro turf) which you can find at places like Lowes or Home Depot for cheap. I got it from Lowes and they only had a 12-foot long roll so I purchased a 2-foot wide piece and now have lots left over and am considering making a putting green with it.
  3. White paint pen
  4. Heavy duty glue (I used a spray adhesive)
  5. You will need something to cut the fake grass with but I found that regular scissors worked fine.

DIRECTIONS:

Step 1: Trim the grass to fit the bulletin board

Step 2: Cut out the infield

Step 3: Glue it the fake grass to the bulletin board

Step 4: Using the white paint pen draw the baselines, bases, and batter's box

This was surprisingly easy and quick with the whole project taking about 30 minutes to make. Now you've got the perfect place for your baseball-loving kids to pin their every growing pile of "stuff"!
