4th of July Flip Flops

Craft for Kids & Families

By Jamie Clark, Baseball Mom, Over Packer, Publisher of Macaroni Kid Roanoke June 20, 2018

I'm not crafty. But from time to time I need a break from my day-to-day with a dose of creativity to make use of a different area of my brain. It's funny how your mind and body let you know when you need to focus on something other than spreadsheets and emails because I suddenly found myself on Pinterest (because where else do you go for some creative inspiration, amiright?) googling "4th of July crafts for tweens" and there they were. These totes adorbs DIY patriotic flip-flops.

10 minutes later I was heading to the store (because once I decide I want to do something I want to do it right then. Very toddler-esque.) to pick up $0.98 flip-flops and red, white and blue fabric scraps. All told the supplies cost me less than $4. Score one for this non-crafty mama!

I gotta say I really love how they turned out and these are perfect for any 4th of July festivities!

See if you can spot my video-bomber at around the 1 min mark.
