We hear a lot of voices in our head.
At least I do. Anyone else? There are constant voices, sometimes uplifting me but often trying to pull me down.
"You're a bad mom."
"You're too tired to workout today."
"Yes, you really do want one more cookie."
"You're right, those jeans do make you look fat."
And on and on and on.
Let's tell those voices to be quiet today. Actually every day, not just today. Let's start by picking a positive affirmation to play on repeat to drown out the negative. Over time, it will become automatic and totally silence those other voices.
I know it sounds corny, but you have to trust me on this one that it works. The cool thing is that no one needs to know you're doing it because only you can hear your inner voice.
If you're not sure where to start there are many websites and even apps to help. Personally, I like the app ThinkUp (and it's free!)
Here's mine for today: I experience joy in everything I do.
