Familiarize yourself with the sale schedule and plan your trips in advance. Opening day is always fun! You can expect a line to enter, followed by an exhilarating rush when gates open. It’s excitement usually found only at Black Friday sales! If that’s not for you, plan to go in the afternoon of opening day or later in the week. Heart set on a specific item, like baby gear or furniture? Those items go fast! Sell items at the sale yourself, volunteer or snag a pass to shop early.
Did someone say discount days? Just when you though prices couldn’t get any better, you’ll also want to take advantage of the 50% Off Day Party (one day only!) and even bigger discounts with the Final Day “Sweet Deal” Surprise Offer (five hours only!). Shop Hands-Free
Bring a few reusable bags for hands-free shopping (think your biggest Thirty-One utility tote). We’ve even seen moms with wagons or their own cart! Plan according to how many little ones you’re shopping for. This speeds up checkout also, as cashiers will load purchases back into your own bags and you’ll be on your way. Don’t be surprised if you leave with hangers and all!
Shop With a List
Did you know many moms (like this one!) only shop for kids’ clothes twice a year? Sure, we fill in with a basic tee here or there, or new pair of shoes. However, planning around kids’ consignment sales will save you bunches, without sacrificing fashion! Since each sale covers two seasons, it’s important to think beyond your immediate needs. For example, it’s still cool outside, but warmer days are coming soon. Don’t forget the swimwear!
