The Bricks 4 Kidz Summer 2019 camp schedule and registration is well under way! We have new theme weeks for this summer and will bring back some of our most popular themes with new builds. In addition to our half-day camp sessions, we will also be offering a full day option (9am to 4pm) and an early drop-off (8am) and late pick-up (5pm) option. Bricks 4 Kidz® camps are fun, high-energy experiences offering: LEGO® model building featuring working motors, lots of unique free-play bricks for creative model building, and games and challenges using LEGO® Bricks We use LEGO bricks and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) principles to build amazing worlds of fun in a variety of different themes each day. Sample themes include Mining & Crafting, Superheroes, Lego Batman, Pokeman, Transformers and Star Wars. Your child will enjoy building LEGO mosaics, 3D LEGO Builds and motorized LEGO projects.
This summer, Bricks 4 Kidz is also offering an Advanced Robotics Camp of Stop Motion Animation each week, which offers all the fun of building with LEGO Bricks, plus the challenge of computer programming! How would you like to turn your next LEGO creation into a robot, programmed to do exactly what you tell it to do? These fun, action-packed weeks combine real life skills with real kid fun, using the principles of STEM. These camps are offered at sites around the Roanoke Valley.
Each Summer Camper will make a custom mini-fig to take home at the end of the week and receive a Bricks 4 Kidz camp t-shirt.
In addition to this schedule, we will be hosting field trip groups from local summer programs on the weeks that we do not hold camp at our Creativity Center at Towers Mall. We can also travel to YOUR summer program and conduct in school field trips. And, we will also be holding Bricks 4 Kidz and Bricks 4 God camps at other locations.
We will be offering Robotics Camps and our themed STEM camps at The Brambleton Center and The Green Ridge Center through Roanoke County Parks and Rec, at Roanoke Catholic School and at North Cross School. You can register for those on their websites.

Bricks 4 Kidz Creativity Center, Towers Mall
June 3 – 7: 9am – Noon
Mining and Crafting
Minecraft is a game about placing blocks to build anything you can imagine. Experience the world of Minecraft with LEGO® bricks in this fun camp. Kids will start by crafting their shelters and some of the mobs, critters and tools using LEGO® bricks. Students will face new challenges each day, building models and crafting key elements from the popular Minecraft game. Each Camper will make a custom mini-fig to take home at the end of the week and receive a camp t-shirt. Appropriate for ages 5 to 13.
June 3 – 7: 1pm – 4pm
Brickapalooza
In our Brickapalooza camp, we have taken our favorite Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO models and themes from all summer and combined them into our first week of camp. This will be a week packed with creativity, learning, and fun and a great way to try out themes for later in the summer. Campers will put their engineering skills to work as they build motorized models, 3D figure models and mosaics. Each Camper will make a custom mini-fig to take home at the end of the week and receive a camp t-shirt. Appropriate for ages 5 to 13.

Movie Mash-Up
Movies and Legos – Legos and Movies! Enjoy this week of building characters from all your favorite movies including the newly released Toy Story 4 and How to Train Your Dragon 3! Other movies featured in this week’s movie mash up camp include The Lego Movie 2, DC Superheroes and Bumble Bee. Campers will put their engineering skills to work as they build motorized models, 3D figure models and mosaics. Each Camper will make a custom mini-fig to take home at the end of the week and receive a camp t-shirt. Appropriate for ages 5 to 13.

Pokie Squad
Get ready for an adventure in the world of Pokémon®! Capture wild Pokémon® creatures and train them for battle. Improve your accuracy and power as you learn new moves and use special abilities. Tap into your inner engineer as we build Dratini, Pikachu, Poké Balls, and more. Do you have what it takes to become a Pokémon® Master? Each Camper will make a custom mini-fig to take home at the end of the week and receive a camp t-shirt. Appropriate for ages 5 to 13.
June 17 – 21: 9am – Noon
Everything is Awesome
Do you think building is awesome? How about building with Emmet and Lucy? Then you won’t want to miss the Bricks 4 Kidz Building Is Awesome Camp! Join Emmet, Lucy, Unicorn Kitty and Benny on a journey to stop Bad Cop and Lord Business from super-gluing the world. Campers will put their engineering skills to work as they build motorized models, 3D figure models and mosaics. They’ll love all these builds based on The LEGO® Movie and its sequel. Whether you take an imaginary ride on Metal Beard’s ship or Emmet’s double-decker couch, be sure to get on over to Bricks 4 Kidz where building is awesome! Each Camper will make a custom mini-fig to take home at the end of the week and receive a camp t-shirt. Appropriate for ages 5 to 13.

Extreme Ninjas
Ninjas … GO! There is a new ninja on the block, and he’s ready to fight to defend his honor and establish peace! The team of 5 ninjas all have their own important role to play in carrying on the legacy of spectacular ninja skill, self-discipline, courage and honor. Join the team by using LEGO bricks, technic pieces, gears and motors to build the ninja domain of temples, dragons, awesome motorized ninja vehicles, ninja spinning machines, and more! Each Camper will make a custom mini-fig to take home at the end of the week and receive a camp t-shirt. Appropriate for ages 5 to 13.

Game On!
Jump into the world of classic arcade and video games! Eat flashing dots, collect coins and rings, avoid getting killed by enemies … there are so many obstacles to overcome and levels to beat! Let’s take it back to when it all started, the 1980’s! Campers will build Super Mario Brothers, PacMan, Alien Invaders models and more! We won’t forget about today’s popular games including Fortnite, Minecraft, Pokemon and more! (note at B4K, we only build appropriate models and no video games will be played). Each Camper will make a custom mini-fig to take home at the end of the week and receive a camp t-shirt. Appropriate for ages 5 to 13.

Bricks 4 Girlz
Grab your friends and come hang out with us for a girls-only week of crafting and creating with LEGO® bricks with a different theme each day. And don’t worry… there are “NO BOYS ALLOWED!” Because this week is all about girls! Each Camper will make a custom mini-fig to take home at the end of the week and receive a camp t-shirt. Appropriate for ages 5 to 13.

May the Force Be With You!
Inspired by NASA and Star Wars™, this camp is packed full of motorized LEGO® models that will make your imagination blast off! Each day, campers will learn about real-life space exploration and build models related to the NASA space program. This space camp also includes LEGO® Star Wars™ themed models where kids will build their favorite characters with LEGO® Bricks, Each Camper will make a custom mini-fig to take home at the end of the week and receive a camp t-shirt. Appropriate for ages 5 to 13.

Superheroes Assemble!
Join Bricks 4 Kidz for a week of building Super Heroes with Lego Bricks. Campers will recognize a family of incredible heroes, hero guardians in space, teen titan heroes and of course their favorite classic Marvel heroes. Explore all the caped crusaders and discover their super powers. Build a fantasy world and protect it from enemies with custom contraptions made with LEGO Bricks. Each Camper will make a custom mini-fig to take home at the end of the week and receive a camp t-shirt. Appropriate for ages 5 to 13.
July 29 – Aug 2: 1pm – 4pm

Brick City Engineers
Let’s build a CITY! There are many different types of engineering jobs, and building is one of the most fun! What would a city be without the architects and engineers who come up with the ideas, plans and building skills to make it all come together? Campers will put their engineering and architecture skills to work as they build city themed models using LEGO® Bricks. The sky’s the limit when campers are challenged to use their own ideas and skills to build a skyscraper taller than their heads! They’ll have a blast using custom-built cars to move the people of the city all around town – brick by brick! What an accomplishment to be able to proudly exclaim “We built this BRICK City!” Each Camper will make a custom mini-fig to take home at the end of the week and receive a camp t-shirt. Appropriate for ages 5 to 13.
