It's easy to see why Sinkland Farms Pumpkin Festival has been rated #1 in the Commonwealth of Virginia year-after-year by Virginia Tourism
Sinkland Farms 30th Annual Pumpkin Festival opens next weekend, September 24th and runs through October 31st. Visiting the farm’s picture-perfect, rolling fields is an annual family tradition for many Southwest Virginia families. The festival offers fun and activities for kids of all ages, including the grown up ones!
Kids love visiting the farm animals, meeting a live scarecrow and riding the mechanical bull. There are also several activities in the Kidz Zone. The favorite, of course, is taking the wagon ride to the patch to pick your GREAT pumpkin. Other features include a 5 acre corn maze, large farm animal viewing barn, pony rides, horseback trail rides, and our Giant Slide are enticing to all ages. The Zip Line for Kids, Bad Axe throwing station, and pig sprints are back this year for all to enjoy every Saturday and Sunday.
New for 2021, NRV Rocketry, our region's high power rocket group, will be running a fun, free rocket launch, flying rockets every hour on October 25th and 26th.
Setting itself apart from other pumpkin patches, Sinkland Farms makes sure to gear farm fun from kids to adults of all ages. Tastings of Virginia wines and craft beer from the farm are available each day, along with a packed schedule of live music. We have the Friday Concert Series, on Fridays throughout the festival, tickets are $12 per person. You can also enjoy live music Saturdays and Sundays from 1 - 4 PM. We boast two stages for twelve days featuring twenty-four live music shows, all included with admission to the festival. Chainsaw carving, corn shelling, and the blacksmith exhibitions draw big crowds. Visitors can also enjoy the multitude of arts and crafts vendors. Featured local artists visit every weekend to display and demonstrate their craft. All this along with so many opportunities for family photographs on the picturesque farm.
