There are many reasons you may be looking for a place to eat out or get a little help with your Thanksgiving meal. Maybe your house is too small to entertain. You're not a cook, your family lives out of town, or you don't want to spend all day cooking so your kid will just eat bread. No judgement here, you don't need an excuse not to cook and clean! There are plenty of restaurants and caterers in Roanoke who would love to help you have a low stress Thanksgiving.
I used to think it would be awful not to cook and entertain. I persoanlly love creating new dishes in the kitchen and watching others enjoy them. However, a few years ago, I was invited to Thanksgiving at the Inn at Virginia Tech and gained a new appreciation for someone else to do the work. May favorite part, not having to cook, clean and entertain, left a lot of time to just relax, catch up and enjoy each other's company. In addition, there wasn't any lingering due to timed seating. So if you aren't really a people person, or you want to head home to relax and watch football, you'll have an easy out.
