With the closure and renovation of Washington Park Pool, Play Roanoke is excited to announce that a variety of engaging activities will be offered at the park throughout summer 2023, free of charge. Starting June 26, visitors to Washington Park will be able to enjoy inflatable water slides, bounce houses, and a variety of recreation programming. See scheduled times below and join us this summer!
Summer Fun at Washington Park Offered Weekdays from June 26 – August 18, 2023
Monday – Thursday 2:00 – 5:00 PM
Summer Fun on Mondays and Wednesdays will include inflatables, bounce houses, and obstacle course. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, there will be inflatables and giant water slide, provided by D&G’s Wonderland.
Fridays
9:00 – 11:00 AM
Summer Fun on Fridays will be a recreation activity, which will vary week to week. Each Friday will be a different program, to include activities such as biking, arts & crafts, climbing wall, sports & games, and more. Follow Play Roanoke on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) for updates.

Hoop Love Academy’s mission is assisting youth and young adults to develop comprehensive skills, maximizing their individual potential, and elevating their game both on and off the court. BOXFIT CAMPS
July 10 – 13 and July 24 – 27 -Grades 6-8 | MONDAY-THURSDAY | 3:30 P.M. TO 5:30 P.M. | FREE
BoxFit is a boxing fitness program that offers programming for youth ages 7 and up. BoxFit provides youth with outreach programs that help build confidence, instill healthy lifestyle choices, mentorship, and provide them with a “Fun, Fast, Fitness Experience.” BoxFit is committed to finding a new way to channel youth’s emotions and energy towards something constructive. Legend has it a group of traveling Highlanders buried an ancient Celtic treasure somewhere in Roanoke long ago. Many have searched to no avail, but you have an advantage! Passed down from friends and family, you possess the expedition journal of one such treasure hunter, Lachlan Bard.
His journal and old stomping grounds contain notes, clues, and puzzles that will help you unearth the Highland treasure.
Only one person per team needs to register. The sign-in station will be on the lower lawn next to the playground. You will receive all needed supplies when you arrive. All children must be accompanied by an adult. $10 Fee to Register
