5 Things to Do this Week in Roanoke

By Beth Bell, Publisher December 29, 2023

As the busy holiday season and winter breaks, wind down, you are probably looking for something to do outside of the house!  The next few days are your last chance to catch the Fashions for Evergreens at The Hotel Roanoke (dozens of fabulously decorated trees) and all of the amazing Christmas light displays throughout the region.  We've rounded up 5 additional ideas below for things to do and see this week.

December 30 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Elmwood on Ice

December 31, 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.

New Year's Eve Countdown at Firehouse Skate & Play

Visit SWOON at The Taubman Museum of Art

The vibrant Swoon exhibit is a ticketed entry. I highly recommend a guided tour! The rest of the museum is free to the public and also features an intriguing exhibit about Historic Gainsboro, drawn and journaled, by a former resident, based on his memories of growing up there.

Through 12/31- Catch Migration at The Grandin Theatre
