Parents/Guardians & 6th Graders are Invited for a Paid Online Study

Positive Social Development Lab at Virginia Tech is mapping prosocial and moral development

Positive Social Development Lab at Virginia Tech is recruiting parents/guardians with 6th grade children for the Cultivating Kindess Project. This study focuses on the development of early adolescents’ prosocial behaviors and moral development.

Eligibility to participate in Cultivating Kindness: Mapping the Landscape of Prosocial and Moral Development in Early Adolescence

You are eligible to participate in this online study if you are a parent/guardian of a 6th grade youth. You and your child will separately complete 30-minute online questionnaires three times over two years and receive compensation.

Compensation for Time 1, 2, and 3, respectively:

  • Youth: $10, $15, $20
  • Parent: $20, $30, $40

Electronic gift cards will be used for payment.

About the Positive Social Development Lab

Positive Social Development (PSD) Lab, lead by Dr. Zehra Gülseven, focuses on understanding positive social development during childhood and adolescence. We are particularly interested in prosocial behavior and moral development with individual, parental, cultural, and contextual correlates in culturally diverse children and adolescents.
