New River Diving

New River Diving is excited to offer two week diving clinics to athletes of all ages and experience levels, with a world class coaching staff right here in the NRV! Do you have a dare devil in your family? Do your kids enjoy extreme sports like skateboarding or aerial sports like gymnastics? Sign them up for an Olympic Diving Clinic! 

Fear and failure are the building blocks of our sport, so athletes will refine their personal process to overcome adversity and gain confidence through their acquisition of new skills. Our goal is to allow athletes to push the boundaries of their comfort zone in a safe and fun environment. Divers will learn the fundamentals of the sport through various challenges and games to create a fun experience. We are extremely fortunate to train out of the Christiansburg Aquatic Center, which is one of two facilities in the state of Virginia with a full stack of diving platforms (5 meter, 7.5 meter, and 10 meter) and is also equipped with two 1 meter springboards, two 3 meter springboards, and a trampoline with a spotting rig. Not only do we have an exceptional facility to train out of, but our coaching staff have national coaching experience as well as international athletic experience. 

Clinic # 1:

May 27th through June 7th ~ The first clinic will conclude with a 5m, 7m, and 10m platform competition at CAC! New River Diving will be hosting an invite 6/7-6/9 for athletes as young as 7, up to high school seniors. Participants will have the opportunity to watch national level divers train and compete on the platform the afternoon of June 7th. 

Clinic # 2:

June 10th through June 21st ~ The second clinic will conclude with a viewing party of Coach Noah at Olympic Trials! Noah will be traveling to Knoxville early in the week to begin training for the Men’s 3 Meter Springboard Competition. Prelims will be the morning of June 21st and we will set up a location to watch the finals later that afternoon.   

Clinic # 3: 

July 8th through July 19th ~ The third clinic will conclude with an Olympic preview/demonstration. Coach Noah will be accompanied by college divers to demonstrate dives that will be competed at the Olympic Games. This will be followed by a Q&A with the athletes as well as the coaches.

Clinic # 4: 

July 22nd through August 2nd ~ The fourth clinic will conclude with a viewing party of the Men's Synchronized 3m Final at the Olympics! Diving begins July 27th at the Olympics and continues to take place the following Monday, Wednesday, and Friday making this one of the most exciting clinics to follow alongside the Paris Games!  

Two Week Flex: 

We are offering a 3 day option ($135), 5 day option ($150), and a Full 10 day option ($200). The schedule will bounce between an early afternoon session one day, followed by a late afternoon session the next day - totaling 5 early afternoons and 5 late afternoons.
