I know it's hard to believe with all of the cold and dreary days we've seen, but summer is coming! In fact, for Roanoke County parents, it will be here almost 2 weeks more quickly than normal. One thing that came as a surprise to me when my children were younger is just how quickly top summer camp choices fill up. Now is the time for a little R and R...no, no, not that kind of R and R. I'm talking about Research and Registration!
We want to make it easier for you, so Macaroni Kid Roanoke is hosting our first annual Summer Camps and Programs Fair this Saturday at Roanoke Catholic School.
Over 20 Camps and other purveyors of Summer Fun will be on site to share information about their programs. This event is generously sponsored by Once Upon a Child Electric Road, who is also giving away a $100 shopping spree to one lucky attendee! Perfect for buying your kids summer wardrobe! In addition, several camps are giving away a week of camp and other prizes. Every ticket also includes a $5 savings coupon to use at Once Upon a Child.
Jaime Clark, W.I.S.H. Circle Honoree, is on a mission to raise $10,000 for the Make-a-Wish foundation. For every $5 donated to Jaime's fundraiser during this event, you'll be entered to win a Family 4 pack of tickets to King's Dominion.
