Alta Mons is the outdoor ministry of the Valley Ridge District of the United Methodist Church and encompasses over 850 acres of beautiful land in Shawsville, VA. Every year we have summer camp, which offers week, half-week, or day-long camping experiences for youth from kindergarten through 12th grade. Throughout the week our chaplain speaks to the campers about Christian topics like prayer, the church, and the love of Jesus. At night campers worship together around a campfire. Campers experience small group bonding with their units during arts and crafts, field games, and sessions at the Nature Hut.  Each Wednesday all resident campers participate in Home in the Woods, where campers and staff set up campsites, cook their dinner over a fire, and sleep under the stars. Every camper receives a camp t-shirt (included with the cost of registration) that they will tie dye during their time at camp. Don’t miss out on the experience of a lifetime—register today!

Camp Bethel is 470 sacred acres of forests, fields, ponds, streams and hills in Botetourt County. Camp Bethel offers a variety of programming for campers Pre-K through the 12th grade with residential overnight and day options.

Our summer dance programs in Salem, VA offer preschool and school aged children, the chance to sing, dance and learn in a faith based environment. We offer full day, half day, 3 day and full week options. 

New River Diving is excited to offer two week diving clinics to athletes of all ages and experience levels, with a world class coaching staff right here in the NRV! Fear and failure are the building blocks of our sport, so athletes will refine their personal process to overcome adversity and gain confidence through their acquisition of new skills. Our goal is to allow athletes to push the boundaries of their comfort zone in a safe and fun environment. Divers will learn the fundamentals of the sport through various challenges and games to create a fun experience. We are extremely fortunate to train out of the Christiansburg Aquatic Center, which is one of two facilities in the state of Virginia with a full stack of diving platforms (5 meter, 7.5 meter, and 10 meter) and is also equipped with two 1 meter springboards, two 3 meter springboards, and a trampoline with a spotting rig. Not only do we have an exceptional facility to train out of, but our coaching staff have national coaching experience as well as international athletic experience. 

Each summer, as part of our mission to serve as a community resource, North Cross School hosts a variety of summer programs for hundreds of children from across the Roanoke Valley and beyond.

A clear focus on etiquette, technique improvement, learning from the best teachers while also learning in a safe and healthy space is all possible in Star City School of Ballet. We created a summer program that will be fun, fruitful and healthy. We are hosting two magnific teachers who come from New York and Richmond that have experience working in the professional  world including Lincoln Center, Broadway and international stages.

Chose by age or experience. Our Junior Ballet intensive is great for newcomers to ballet and dance. Our Senior Program fits best for students who have experience or all enrolled in pre-professional ballet programs.

The Peaks Retreat and Adventure Center is a 66-acre outdoor adventure and event facility located 30 minutes outside of Roanoke, Virginia.  With scenic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, The Peaks is an ideal location for events ranging from youth camps to student and corporate retreats to weddings. In 2024, we will be co-hosting an adventure camp for middle schoolers with Bedford Outdoor Adventures June 3-7, 2024. 

Our goal is to provide our youth with fundamental kitchen and garden skills they'll need as they grow. In our cooking camps, your child will gain knowledge ranging from food and kitchen safety to the art of baking from scratch, as well as, helpful home economics skills. They'll also have the opportunity to bring their creations home with them! By combining hands-on learning with creative expression and outdoor exploration, Under the Green Umbrella Summer Camp offers an engaging experience that empowers campers to develop lifelong skills and a deeper appreciation for food, gardening, and home economics.

Virginia Tech Football is excited to announce the first Youth Camp & Women’s Clinic of the Brent Pry Era! The camp and clinic are organized by VT Football staff, coaches, and players. The Youth Camp is for rising first graders - rising fifth graders from Tuesday, May 28 - Friday, May 31. The Women's Clinic presented by Ed and Ethel's Fine Jewelry will be held on the afternoon of Friday, May 31.

The YMCA of Virginia's Blue Ridge offers 6 summer camp locations in Roanoke, Salem, Botetourt and Rockbridge including a camp for middle schoolers and a cooking camp.
